Please review the documents below and add text as appropriate on Afghan detainee issues. You will see the main place for you to add material is in the second docment (Key Issues with Background), the second point on Afghanistan and Guantanamo. I think if you were able to summarize in a couple sentences the relevant 1-2 points we made in our response to the Note Verbale on notification and access, that would be plenty.
I need these couple sentences as soon as possible, in order to send the memos around for clearance and get them up to S before our deadline. With Monday being a holiday, we're really pressed.
