IRAQI TASK FORCE DAILY SITUATION REPORT (SITREP) 23 DECEMBER 2004
Update on the Attack on the Mosul Dining Facility: The post blast investigation
was complete on 23 December 2004. The initial report indicated an IED, possible suicide
attack. Additional information from the military supports this conclusion. I
Additional details on the attack will be forwarded to FBIHQ.
(NF,OC) Update' on Fallujah Sensitive Site Exploitation: FBI Agents that were
deployed to the Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE) in Fallujah returned to Balad without
incident. Initial report indicates no human remains were recovered. There was no .
evidence found which would indicate Spc as buried at that location. Initial
'reports from local nationals forwarded by e mi itary indicated a body Clothed in a Battle
Dress Uniform (BDU) and wearing military issue combat boots was partially uncovered
by weather and then covered again by local nationals. This information was received
several months ago but could not be acted on due to the security situation in Fallujah. The
SSE deployed with 1MEF to the location and excavated the site without success. Efforts
