2002 to March 2003; corresponding with theperiod he was under intense interrogation.
These issues were in the main due to the sporadic fasting that the detainee did during this'
period,(lastin.g for 5 to 6 days at a time), sleep deprivation caused by lengthy interrogation.:

Harrington, FBI Deputy Assistant Director, Counterterrorism Center:„ Mr. T.J.'Harrington's
letter, dated July 14, 2004, refers to use of a canineduring interrogations and isolation: The
,detainee made his allegations in a recent interview with the ICRC: He reported that 10

:Tor interrogations. He complained that abuse during the interrogations included: forced
positions, cold water, Koran abuse, and denial of prayer, sexual humiliation, and threat of
