WANT TO MAKE TIE FOLLOWING STATEMENT UNDER OATH:
I was aware of a thumb drive which was turn in ttoom^ sometime ' March. I was told one of the photos was of 11111111111=1111
I opened the file to find out if the photos were of 'r any MI personnel. When I opened the phiitos, I saw photos
dies. There were also some rsonal photos of females posing as normal soldiers. One of the females looked lik
ifdagbut it was not There were other photos of military personnel posing with detainees. I believed ti
l*photos to be of troops from e
conducting their operations from the beginning and the end of detainee operations. There
were no sexually implicit photos. There was one photo of a detainee on his knees with his back to me and military personnelwere posing behind the detainee in front of a building that appeared to what they had just raided. I didn't feel the photos were
severe enough to take it to CID. I asked the JAG officer,
hat 1 should do with the photos. lie said since it did noinv ve MI rsonnel, we should return the thumb drive td -the owner. gave the thumb drive to the MSG who worked '
d asked him to find out who it belonged to and return it to its rightful owner. They spoke asked if the drive was hers and she said no. She identified one of the individuals as being an 82nd soldier. `She knew that" and
because she has worked with the 82nd before. I don't remember naked bodies, however, there was one dead body that his upperbody exposed because it looked like the body had been blown up. I know our folks can not take pictures of detainees and I donot know the policy for other units. I do know that if he was a POW they could not take photos to degrade an individual.
Q. Do you have anything else to add to the statement?
