Cara,
Sorry I'm late. Just got back from the second day of the big release at Abu Ghraib. Cable(s) to follow. Short version is that approximately 160 were released yesterday, 108 today, 250+ to follow in next week once the IIG sorts out the guarantor issue. Numbers are fuzzy due to a few logistical hiccups (a bus of twenty-two released detainees bound for Falluja had to turn back when the road was closed due to rumors of an IED attack, etc.)
Stats look good for dates cited except that you can update the Combined Review and Release Board totals, if you like. As of last night, the board had reviewed 1056 files. 764 were recommended for release (389 unconditional, 375 with guarantor), and 292 for continued detention. .
