B5
I Here is what the Swedish Foreign Minister said yesterday.

i

Inanks,
Henry

'FOREIGN MINISTER ANNA LINDH ASSUMES THAT THE CUBA SWEDE WILL BE RELEASED SHORTLY The Swedish wire service "TT" reported that Foreign Minister Anna Lindh said she assuems that the Swede detained in Cuba will be released shortly when the U.S. begins to release other detainees. "We are of the opinion that now is the time to release him unless the"U.S. can present charges against him. We have not yet received an answer to our questions in this regard, but I count on having them shortly," Anna Lindh said in connection with her participation in a Nordic Council meeting in Helsinki. "If he remains detained when other prisoner are released, the situation will become precarious for Sweden. Therefore we must be informed why he is not among them," Lindh added.'
