I would also double check with the Training and Development Division on the training points taught in the
Interrogatiqnllnterview Course, offered throughout the years and taken by probably 20+% of our Agents (I believe
it was a two-week course with lots of scenarios and role playing). I just want to ensure that "rapport building" was
the course's emphasized mode of obtaining information from the non cooperative subject.

attending new arents training lhe handbook is also provided periodically in hard copy to all agents by the Legal
Instruction Unit. _ _ordered the last batch of handbooks sometime last year. FYI, the handbook is
being reprinted as we speak. When printing is complete, the handbooks will be sent to LlU for distrib~tion.

Just one thought.. ...... in the testimony it mentions the Legal H.andbook being available to all agents in both

?? Didn't we discontinue the hard copies of the LHB a fe~ years back? (I know we no long~r
receive updated pages or revisions in hard copy.) Just wanted to poi.nt out in case HPSCI asks to see a
copy of the handbook. The hard. copy may not include all updates/current info.
