Up until about a month ago, DOD Intelligence and law enforcement (FBI & CITF) personnel were conducting joint detainee interviews. Challenges with interview coordination lead to a decision that further intelligence and law enforcement interviews
will be conducted separately. CITF and the FBI were to each select 200 detainees that would be the primary focus of law enforcement interviews with the remaining about 200 being assigned to DOD. To date, all 50 detainees have yet to be assigned and the assignments do not preclude intelligence interviews of law enforcement assignees and vice versa_ The "cross" interviews are conducted with prior organizational coordination and thus far, FBI, DOD and CITF has been cooperative with each other's request.
Issue:
DOD Intelligence personnel cnntarted the 1x131 SSA in order to conduct an interview of a detainee assigned to the Fill.
