I. On 20 Aug 04, this investigation was initiated upon receipt of correspondence from the 22' d
:Police Battalion (MP BN) (CID), Catnip Victory. Ina an, which de led a translated Military

2. In the letter Mij Iwiote, he reported after he was detained at Camp Cropper,
Baghdad, IZ, on 28 May 04, he was taken from Camp Cropper to an unknown location; during
the beginning °•un 04, where he was abused by several different individuals, whom used
several different techniques to abuse him. He related his abuse took place for about ten. days
after which he was returned to Camp Cropper. He related after he Was returned to Camp:Cropper
he received medical attention for the injuries he received while being abused. (See translated

3. On 23,Aug 04,, this office interviewed Mr' lin reference to his allegations of
'abuse. Mr1 'reiterated verbatim the translated letter provided to this office by the •
22'd MP tiN (CID). Mn1 'related prior to being detainee at Camp Cropper, •
Baghdad, IZ, he was working for the CIA,. and was providing the CIA. with inforMation about his
former intelligence job. Mrd (related while he was being questioned and beaten he
•Itnew he was near the airport (possibly Baghdad International Airport, Baghdad, TZ, a location
which is also utilized by U.S. Coalition Forces for military activities, and is near Camp Cropper), .
because the entire time he could hear airplanes. He also related while he was being beaten he
' could hear other people that sounded like they were being beaten, because he heard other oeool •
