AGENTS COMMENT: Both SA1111111.11111111 and SAMMIE. have witnessed ferral or stray dogs since being deployed to Iraq on numerous occasions. These dogs appear to be more afraid of humans than humans of them. These dogs run at the first sight of humans and the account of "an aggressive dog" coming out of the darkness, near two five ton trucks with lights on and engines running appears to be highly unlikely. In conjuction with the fact that the shot occurred moments after the detainee was brow ht to the front of the truck, appears to be more than pure coincidence.
*he statement by 1 LT in regards to firing the shot at the dog, to "protect himself and the
• ,tainee" further contradicts the fact that the LT left the teenager in the area with possible dangerous animals.
