<p>A review of an Military Police (MP) investigation revealed that nine (9) members of Howitzer Battery, 2/3 Armored Cavalry Regiment that may have been involved in a criminal conspiracy to rob Iraqi citizens of currency during Traffic Control Point operations. The alleged victims could not be identified and interviewed &quot;as there were no check point records reflecting [their] identities [ies].&quot; The investigation &quot;determined there was insufficient evidence to prove or disprove that the offenses of Robbery and Conspiracy occurred as originally reported.&quot; The investigation was closed because &quot;action commander indicated an intent to take action amounting to less than a court proceeding.&quot;</p>

He paid $150.00 to $180.00 for the DVD player. The following day the -ocal national came to FOB Byers to complain about his money being taken. The local national was questioned his money was ultimately returned. SSG .vas in charge of theshift. SGT.and PFC.made up the rest of the shift. About 2200, SSG ...decided to conduct a TCP onthe road in front of the warehouse. SSG .SGT UNIMPand PFC.moved out to conduct the TCP while I ble-61 pulled overwatch from the FAST-V. The TCP lasted about 90 minutes. They stopped 10-15 cars. When they came back to whereI was pulling overwatch they were unusually upbeat. I asked them what was going on and they told me I would find out later.When our shift ended, we all got in the same truck to go back to the MEK compound. As we were leaving, SSG ...pulled out alarge wad of Dinars from either his pocket or the small bag he was carrying, SSG SINN told us it was money he had taken fromIraqis during the TCP conducted the previous night. He told me it came from a vehicle that they searched. The guy the took the money from came back later to complain. I remembered the vehicle SSG IMPwas talking about. After that, SSG ../put themone back. After we got back to our rooms at the MEK compound, SSG wand SGT 11.1011came into mine andVic -6 room. SSG agave me about 20 250 Dinar notes.
