1 RESOLVED, That the American Bar Association urges the United States government to

6 FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Association urges the government to report in detail
7 [to the U.N. Committee Against Torture], consistent with requirements of the Convention
8 Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, on
93the techniques that the government is using in its interrogations;
10 11 FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Association urges the United States government to 123ensure that persons acting on its behalf do not engage in interrogation techniques that 133constitute torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment; and 14 15 FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Association urges the United States not to transfer 16 persons whom it has detained to countries where there is a substantial likelihood that 17 those persons would be in danger of being subjected to torture.
